Meth Fabulous: The New Heroin Chic?

Okay, you got me. Meth fabulous is not a real thing...but it should be. The trends of the times include the reinvention of the nineties style heroin chic (popularized largely by Kate Moss), carrying cigarettes as fashion accessories, and those paper bags you get alcohol in are practically the new Balenciaga. Meth is just as dangerous and harmful as all of the above listed, why can't it be a trend too?

Personally, I find meth mouth to be cool looking. And by meth mouth I mean yellow, crooked teeth. Not actual meth mouth. And while I'm a sucker for heroin chic, I don't think drug influenced styles should be a thing. Meth is just as illegal as heroin in the USA - and give similar effects...so why can't heroin chic be changed to meth fabulous? The short answer is, there's no Kate Moss endorsement on meth fabulous. But - I can try to coin it as a little joke spin off of heroin chic.

For the meth fabulous look, all you really need is a tired eye look, or 'junkie eye' acheived using tones of purples, reds, and brown. The only other thing this look calls for is hollowed out cheek bones. This is so easy to do with a shade stick in the appropriate color from Transform, topped with a dusting of your preferred bronzer. Keep everything matte, so that means no Luxe products which will sparkle in and out of the beauty parlor. My favorite brand for this look is Transform, as the products go on smooth and are also matte.

The clothing aspect of this look calls for tight, revealing clothes. Minimal coverage is desired. All things sheer, shiny, and skin showing are ideal. My doll is sporting a tight latex suit from LE, similar to the lace body suit sported by young Kate Moss in the picture opposite mine. Chunky shoes, bags, and accessories are also nice to have (think Bratz dolls.) If you're night comfortable with tight clothing, another way to approach this look is loose, baggy clothes that hang off your body. Ripped up mom jeans, dirty flannels, and sheer blouses paired with lingerie are all fantastic ways to style this. Icons to look to would of course be Kate Moss, Courtney Love, Charli XCX, and Francis Bean Cobain.

So are you willing to start Meth Fabulous with me?
